New York City Marathon Submissions are Open

Are you signing up?

Ah, The Big Apple, the center of the world, the… city that never sleeps — yeah that’s the one. New York City is here and its official marathon is open for registrations!

Have you ever been to the city? It’s a beautiful place, and I dare anyone to tell me otherwise (unless you truly have an awful story about your time there). Being only an hour away by flight, I’ve had many experiences there. But enough about me, let’s talk about you.

About you and why you’re signing up to run 42,000 meters in the city.

It’s already not if, it’s when you’ll sign up. The registration opening is open from right now until March 20, 2024, so you better hurry up!

After that, mark your calendars because the big draw for these spots is going down on Thursday, March 28.

Now, for all you folks eyeing those non-guaranteed entries, here’s the lowdown. We’re filling them up through three separate draws, kind of like different pools at a party:

  1. “NYC metro area” crew: That’s for the folks living in and around 60 miles of the Big Apple.

  2. “National” gang: All you U.S. residents outside the NYC metro area, Puerto Rico, and other cool U.S. territories — this one’s for you.

  3. “International” squad: If you’re not from the U.S., this is your ticket.

They’ll be doing a draw in each pool exactly a month from now, so be sure to keep updating your inbox to see if you get an invite (that’s what I always do, anyways).

Fingers crossed, and let the registrations begin!
