World Athletics Announces New Ultimate Championship Event in 2026
World Athletics unveiled plans for the World Ultimate Championships, a biennial event starting in 2026, designed to crown the best athletes in athletics. The inaugural event will be held in Budapest with a $10 million prize purse, featuring the top 16 athletes from the season competing in track semi-finals and finals, and the top eight in field events. RUN OF THE DAY
4 km (2.5 mi) Hill Run

A hill run helps build strength, power, and cardiovascular endurance. This run involves running uphill at a steady pace.
Warm-up: Start with a 10-minute easy jog to get your muscles warmed up and your heart rate elevated.
Hill Repeats:
Find a hill with a moderate incline.
Run up the hill for 1 minute at a steady, challenging pace.
Jog back down for recovery.
Repeat this cycle 6 times for a total of 12 minutes of hill work.
Run the remaining distance on flat terrain at a comfortable pace to complete the 4 km (2.5 miles).
Cool-down: Finish with a 10-minute easy jog or walk to gradually bring your heart rate down and help with recovery.
Tips:
Focus on maintaining good form, keeping your chest up and shoulders relaxed.
Use your arms to help drive your movement uphill.
Take smaller steps to maintain a steady rhythm.
