Getting over those pre-race jitters

Breathe in and out, rest your mind, and take on the race.

With marathon season upon us, it’s natural to feel those pre-race nerves kicking in. When I was preparing for my first marathon, I had jitters an entire month before hitting the starting line!

Whatever race you’re doing, whether it’s a 10km race or a full marathon, here are some expert tips to help you conquer those jitters:

1. Embrace the nerves

Remember, feeling anxious before a race is completely normal and shows that you care about your performance. Recognize that it’s just another part of the journey and a sign that you’re ready to tackle the challenge ahead.
