As you embark on your recovery journey, it’s essential to avoid these common mistakes, according to running coach Fran Bungay:

1. Improper hydration

After the race, hydrate wisely by drinking slowly and incorporating sodium into your fluids for better water retention. Drinking too quickly without sodium can lead to dehydration, even if your urine appears clear – don’t be fooled!
